Canning
Canning is a great skill to know. It enables someone to preserve foods (Including Meat!!) when they are plentiful and fresh, for times when they are not. With a little forethought, it can also lower your family’s food bill. Buying in volume is usually less expensive. The part that I find fascinating is that the finished product requires NO refrigeration. No freezer burn, no worries during power outages, and longer shelf life are a few of the many benefits of canning.
