Knapping
Flint Knapping looks to be an interesting hobby. Since we don’t have a readily available source of flint or stone in my area, I’m trying with (beer) bottle bottoms. I can order stone, but that can get pretty expensive, and this will require lots of practice. I will show the progress on my first project as it progresses.
Here are my first two attempts at making points.
My first two Points
These are made from beer bottle bottoms. The larger (Left) was my first attempt. It still needs some work. I have trouble with thinning piece. I am having lots of fun. Ordering stone to keep trying. Check back for further progress. I’ve made all of my own tools. I’ll post pictures of them as soon as I can.
